Bosch GS-10 range
All models of BOSCH vacuum cleaners by the company are divided into several lines, differing in their characteristic features in design and functionality.
Markings on the body GS-10 means that the dust collection device has cyclone filter and a container garbage disposal, and its power consumption is around 1800 Watts.
There are no removable bags in the models of this series.Garbage is collected inside the device in a container, which must be emptied and washed by hand as it fills.
All models available in the line differ in cord length, body color, motor power and other nuances. However, all of them are intended exclusively for dry cleaning, and garbage is collected only in the internal container. They have a common internal design and a basic functional set.
Vacuum cleaners GS-10 are intended for use at home. They can also be used for cleaning a small office. But doing this all the time is not recommended.
Such equipment will not withstand intensive use for a long time; it is simply not designed to work on such a scale. The main task of the electric vacuum cleaner in question is to quickly and efficiently clean the house.
Technical characteristics of the line
Vacuum cleaner models from the GS-10 line belong to low-power devices in the mid-price segment. You can buy them for six to seven thousand rubles in the basic configuration.
Plus, it is possible to install additional attachments and accessories, most of which cost between 500–2000 rubles.
Main technical characteristics of Bosch GS 10 series units:
- output filter – HEPA;
- power supply – 220 Volts, from a socket;
- battery – missing;
- power consumption – 1500–1800 W, depending on the model;
- suction power – 300–350 W;
- wet cleaning – no;
- wheels - two large and one small;
- noise level – about 80 dB;
- dust collector - container.
The body color can be white, black, blue or purple.
Equipment and functionality
The basic set of the Bosch GS-10 container electric vacuum cleaner includes:
- metal telescopic tube;
- three nozzles: combined floor/carpet, crevice and for upholstered furniture;
- power cord 7 - 8 meters long.
Initially, the turbo brush is not included in the kit, but it can be purchased separately. The nozzle has a shaft with bristles that rotates from the air sucked in by the motor and is superior in cleaning efficiency to all other nozzle options.
You will have to pay about 3 thousand rubles for it, but it can easily cope even with particles of debris stuck to the floor covering.
The power cord can be seven to eight meters long. However, to estimate the range of the device, you still need to add a meter to one and a half meters to them due to the telescopic suction pipe.
It consists of two tubes, one of which, when assembled, is retracted into the other. And in the unfolded state and taking into account the hose, you get an additional couple of meters.
If necessary, the telescopic pipe can be adjusted to the height of the housewife. It smoothly extends approximately half a meter and is securely fixed in the desired position.
The existing power cord, in the vast majority of cases, is more than enough to reach the most remote corners in the apartment.
The device is equipped with an automatic cord winding function. It is enough to pull it all the way out of the body and just let go. The wire will automatically retract back into the vacuum cleaner, leaving only the plug outside.
Type of cleaning and filtration system
Bosch GS-10 series models are intended exclusively for dry cleaning of the home. Dust is sucked in using a cyclone filter.
After being drawn in from the floor or sofas, air containing dust and debris particles enters the vacuum cleaner. There, thanks to a small vortex created by the motor, the garbage settles first on the walls and then on the bottom of the container.
In this case, the remaining dust particles are additionally retained by the output HEPA filter. The result is a high degree of air flow purification of 90–99%.
Among the main disadvantages of the HEPA filter and vacuum cleaners with it, we should mention the possibility of blowing some of the dust back into the room. Gradually, as a result of the cleaning equipment, this filter is filled with tiny dust particles and microorganisms.
If you do not change it, then when you turn on the device, bacteria along with dust begin to be blown back into the room being cleaned.
If there are allergy sufferers in the house, then it is better not to buy a similar model of vacuum cleaner. Or you will have to very carefully monitor the degree of filling of the HEPA filter and replace it more often.
Dimensions and appearance
Externally, the Bosch GS-10 is designed as a compact and stylish rectangle with a streamlined shape. There are three wheels for moving around the apartment.
It has dimensions of 288 x 445 x 300 mm. You can park the vacuum cleaner either horizontally or vertically. The device weighs 4.7 kg, and with a container filled with garbage its weight is slightly more than six kilograms.
Almost any housewife can move it from room to room; there is no need to attract a man for this. The presence of two large wheels greatly simplifies the movement of the device not only on parquet or linoleum, but also on high-pile carpeting.
Problems may only arise with the small middle roller under the dust collector. But if absolutely necessary, the equipment can be lifted from this edge by the hose to move it. On the two rear wheels, the electric vacuum cleaner will roll without problems.
The hose is attached to the side above the third middle wheel. Between the handle and this entrance there is a hinged lid, under which there is a garbage container.
The case also has a dust bin full indicator and a power regulator. Everything is at hand and placed in such a way that there is no need to bend over and look at “what operating mode is set there.”
As the container fills with dust and debris, the air draft in the suction pipe begins to weaken. At a certain moment, a mechanical indicator on the case is triggered, indicating that the dust collector is almost full to capacity.
It is not recommended to use the device any further. It is necessary to clean the container first, otherwise the motor will work at its limit. As a result, the electric motor will sooner or later overheat and break down.
In many models of electric vacuum cleaners, the air outlet is often located on the side or bottom. As a result, the air blown out of them often raises dust that has not yet been collected from the floor. This is excluded in the Bosch GS-10.
According to reviews from owners of BOSCH vacuum cleaners, the handle and body on them break extremely rarely. Such a breakdown is an exception rather than a real problem.
If you need a lighter and more maneuverable device for quick cleaning, we recommend that you read the rating cordless vacuum cleaners Bosch. Their battery charge lasts about 30 minutes, but this is quite enough for local cleaning.
Power and Control
Almost all models of Bosch vacuum cleaners in the GS-10 series have a power consumption of 1800 W. The only exception is the Bosch BGC1U1550 model. This device consumes only 1550 W at maximum.
Vacuum cleaner control: turning on/off and power adjustment are carried out by a single mechanical rotary switch. It has a round shape and pictograms on the body indicating the selected operating mode.
Generalized comparison of models

Advantages and disadvantages of the Bosch GS 10 line
The main advantages of BOSCH electric vacuum cleaners in this series are as follows:
- Automatic rewinding of the power cord.
- Compact and light weight of the device.
- Possibility of smooth adjustment of device power.
- Relatively low power consumption.
- High maneuverability on the floor.
- Availability of HEPA filter.
- Lack of consumables - dust bags.
- Affordable price.
To start operating the Bosch GS-10 vacuum cleaner, just plug it in and turn the control lever. And its maintenance consists of regularly cleaning the dust collector and replacing the output filter.
Among the disadvantages of the technology under consideration are worthy of mention:
- noise – the cyclone filter is initially noisier than other options;
- frequent breakdowns of automatic cable rewinding;
- the need to purchase a turbo brush to collect pet hair;
- lack of “wet cleaning” mode.
If the Bosch GS-10 begins to make more noise over time and the suction power drops, then most likely the problem lies in a clogged electric motor. The foam insert around it is not able to completely prevent fur and hair from getting into the engine.
As a result, a hair ball gradually forms there, interfering with the rotation of the shaft. It is necessary to regularly look into this compartment of the device and clean it.
Problems with automatic cable winding arise due to the weak spring fastening inside this device.

Without bags, with a power regulator, compact - sounds good. The only thing is that due to its small dimensions the container is small. Well, the traditional overpayment for the brand.
An excellent vacuum cleaner, not very noisy, powerful, there is a power adjustment (I don’t use it at full power). The price and quality corresponds. Convenient removal of the container. Like)
