Radiators with bottom connection: aesthetics, energy efficiency, innovation
The type of connection of radiators determines not only the efficiency of heating the space, but also its aesthetics and the possibility of maximum functional use.
Classic cast iron batteries, time-tested, are becoming a thing of the past. Along with them, the outdated riser heating system in apartment buildings, when there was a riser in the corner of each room and horizontal steel pipes leading from it to the heating radiators, also becomes history.
The problem with a vertical heating distribution system is that it does not take into account individual heat consumption and the ergonomics of the room. Residents of such apartments do not pay for the actual heat consumed, but for a certain average coefficient multiplied by square meters. You can completely turn off the radiators in the apartment, and your neighbor on the riser can open all the windows wide and heat the street, but you and he will pay the same for the heat. Agree - this is, at least, unfair.
Today, thanks to the installation of individual heat consumption metering devices in apartment buildings, residents have the opportunity to independently install lines to radiators. In this case, the communications are hidden in the floor screed, and only directly at the radiator connection point do the pipes come out. This connection is much more aesthetically pleasing than steel pipes on walls and corners and allows you to save extra centimeters for interior items and furniture.
The hidden arrangement of the pipes allows you to carefully supply the coolant to the radiators and connect them to the system through the bottom connection unit.
The radiator is connected to pipe bends coming out of the wall or floor using specially designed straight (in-floor wiring) or angular (in-wall wiring) separate bottom connection units, leveling out inaccuracies and providing additional convenience during installation work.
A heating system with bottom-connected radiators has a whole set of objective advantages.
Firstly, the use of individual heat consumption meters, which makes it possible to control costs during the heating season. If you went on vacation, you shut off the coolant supply to the radiator with thermal heads - you save on utilities.
Secondly - aesthetics. If the pipeline comes out of the wall or from the floor directly at the radiator connection point, then it is practically invisible, which means there is no need to hide or somehow play up unattractive pipes in the interior, covering both them and the radiator with archaic grilles, screens and panels. And the decoration of the premises, be it the installation of a stretch ceiling, various decorative canopies on the ceiling and walls, is also simplified.
Thirdly, service availability. The shut-off and control valves are located directly in the lower connection unit, which allows you to shut off the coolant supply to the radiator and easily disconnect it from the system in case of replacement or repair.
Fourthly, radiators with bottom connections have the best distribution of coolant throughout the heating device, which ensures maximum heat transfer and efficient heating of rooms.
In 2019, the Royal Thermo industrial group, the No. 1 manufacturer in the market of aluminum and bimetallic radiators in terms of the number of radiators sold and the largest manufacturer in the Eurasian heating systems market, launched the production of bimetallic radiators with bottom connections.
Royal Thermo radiators are supplied fully equipped: the consumer simply needs to choose straight or angular connection nodes and the design of the Danfoss thermostatic head with high-precision temperature control, ensuring maximum energy efficiency of the device. The thermal head is available in three colors: white, black and chrome; additional accessories (connection kits and wall brackets) are also available in the same colors. Royal Thermo radiators with bottom connection are distinguished by high operational reliability, confirmed by certificates of conformity. The tightness of the sections is ensured by special gaskets made of cotton with the addition of graphite and silicone, which do not change their elastic properties during prolonged thermal exposure. Inside each section of Biliner heavy-duty bimetallic radiators there is an all-steel manifold, which 100% eliminates contact of the aggressive coolant of the central heating system with the aluminum alloy and guarantees the safe use of the product over a long service life. Royal Thermo radiators have a unique design to solve interior problems of different styles: from classic to loft or hi-tech.
The product warranty is 25 years. Each manufacturer's product is insured for 65 million rubles.
