SHUFT modular ventilation units using high-performance HEPA filters

For more than 20 years, SHUFT has been expanding the capabilities of ventilation systems.The first fan model for modular systems of the CF series was produced in 1998. Today, the SHUFT range includes more than 1,500 models of ventilation equipment, including:

  • fans with capacity from 300 to 23,000 m3/h;
  • monoblock ventilation units with a capacity from 300 to 6000 m3/h;
  • general building and special central air conditioners and ventilation units with a capacity of up to 200,000 m3/h;
  • fans and smoke removal valves, air distributors, automation and control systems for ventilation systems.

The equipment is designed for various applications:

  • environmentally friendly indoor air exchange;
  • smoke removal systems;
  • technological production.

In 2011, on the basis of the industrial cluster of engineering, climate control systems and electronics IKSEL (Kirzhach, Vladimir region), the first SHUFT production line in Russia was built. Currently, production localization is 100%.

In 2013, SHUFT, together with its partners, opened a Russian research and development center - the SiberCool laboratory.

100% localization, international level of production culture, synthesis of domestic and European engineering schools allowed SHUFT to develop, produce and supply more than 100 innovative models of domestically produced ventilation equipment.

Absolute HEPA filters for modular installations

The design of the HEPA filter is based on randomly arranged fibers with a thickness of 0.5 to 5 microns.The filter is designed for absolute air purification from fine particles with a diameter of less than 10 microns.

The effectiveness of the filter is achieved thanks to the following operating principles:

  1. Large particles are released from the air flow due to the effect of inertia, while smaller particles are released through diffusion.
  2. All particles that touch the fibers settle on the filter.
  3. The particles are firmly held on the fibers due to the force of attraction.

Description of the model range

SHUFT modular units with HEPA filters providing filtration class E10-U17 (according to EN 1822/GOST R EN 1822-1-2010 standards) are available in all channel sizes (round systems - from 100 to 355 mm, rectangular systems - from 300x150 mm up to 1000×500 mm).

The productivity of modular plants reaches 4000 m3/h, air purification efficiency reaches 99.999995%.

Areas of use

SHUFT modular units with absolute purification HEPA filters satisfy the needs of organizations that require air filtration, such as medical facilities, food production, microelectronic production, and nuclear industry facilities.

Innovativeness of the system

HEPA filters used by other ventilation system manufacturers are capable of operating at low air speeds of up to 0.45 m/s and are not suitable for ventilation ducts where the air flow speed exceeds 1.5 m/s. They are only suitable for air distributors that require the installation of a plenum, which reduces air speed and creates laminar flow. Such a solution leads to an increase in the size of the HEPA filter unit, as well as to the need to install several expensive HEPA filters for each service area (room).

SHUFT modular units use high-performance HEPA filters (up to 4000 m3/h in the channel line), capable of operating at air speeds up to 2.7 m/s. Such filters are installed directly into the duct system, which ensures air filtration for the entire service area of the ventilation system, and not just individual rooms!

Since absolute purification HEPA filters have increased resistance, SHUFT modular units use special high-pressure fans based on energy-saving Ziehl-Abegg electric motors (Germany) to overcome this resistance.

Completed projects using modular units with absolute purification HEPA filters:

  1. Construction of medical centers based on prefabricated structures (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky).
  2. Construction of an infectious diseases hospital with 200 beds (Anastasyevka village, Khabarovsk Territory).
  3. Adaptation of the Central Exhibition Complex for a temporary hospital (Expocentre Fairgrounds, Moscow, Krasnopresnenskaya embankment, 14).
